Functionality
In the basic mode, the TITAN VC2 Video Encoder/Decoder
products can be used for live video transmission over different
types of networks such as 2-Mbit/s, X.21, V.35, ISDN and Ethernet.
The video pictures are coded according to advanced H.261 with
CIF resolution (288 lines x 352 pixels) of 30 frames per second
and data rate from 64-kbit/s (up to 20-kbit/s).
An integrated,
transparent data interface is available for remote camera and/or
Video matrix control.
Interfaces
The TITAN VC2 Video Encoder
has 6 video inputs and the TITAN VC2 Decoder 2 video outputs.
The video inputs of the Encoder can be selected remotely from
the Decoder. Furthermore 4 TTL signals can be transmitted bi-directionally
in addition to the RS232/RS485 data channel.
Configuration
The units can be configured via its integrated keypad and Display.
A Windows PC software is included in the delivery and can be
used for configurations. A PC is not necessary for normal operation.
Installation
The dimensions of the unit are half 19" wide
and 1U high. 19" brackets for mounting racks are included
in the delivery. With the help of a 19’’ mounting kit, two units
can be mounted in a 19’’, 1U rack.
