XTA 4 Series Remote Memory Recall Now Available

The G.P.I. kit is now available for the 4 Series units. This allows simple contact closures to trigger memory recalls, which may be relayed to an entire network of units.

The G.P.I. card replaces the standard 9-pin D-type connector used for RS232 comms with a 15-pin version.

This can then be connected to a simple switch arrangement to allow recall of up to 128 memories (if using binary format switching) or 7 memories if simple "one at a time" closures are used.

The software support also allows an offset to be introduced, so this contiguous block of memories can be located anywhere within the 4 Series units' memory space.

Additionally, the type of memory recalled can be restricted as required so, for example, only Graphic EQ settings are recalled, regardless of the actual contents of any location.

The 15-way connector still has all the standard RS232 connections, and an adapter is included in the kit so that this port can be used as normal.

The unit firmware must be updated to version 1.80 or above to work with this interface - please check the software section of the site for the latest release.
