RDL Introduces Audio and Video Monitor Decora® Wall Panels

RDL Decora PanelsD-AVM4 and DS-AVM4

The D-AVM4 and DS-AVM4 are ideal choices in installations requiring a wall-mounted audio and video monitor input or output plate for computers, monitors and projectors. The panel is typically installed as an audio/video input plate, but may equally be used as an output jack panel.

The front panel features a pass-through video monitor connector. Video connections are made on the front and rear panel using a standard HD-15 video connector.

The front panel features two gold plated phono jacks and a single 3.5 mm stereo mini-jack, intended for stereo consumer line level audio sources. An input signal may be connected to either the phono jacks or to the mini-jack. The left and right signal inputs are fed to a rear-panel detachable terminal block. The audio signals are unbalanced and are intended for short wiring runs where balanced lines are not required.

The D/S-AVM4 is the ideal choice for providing convenient end-user computer inputs to feed monitors or projectors in small facilities such as boardrooms or classrooms.

The front panel features a standard HD-15 video monitor connector. Video components, video sync and their respective ground returns are separated to feed five BNC jacks on the rear panel. The BNC jacks are isolated from the module chassis ground so the appropriate signal grounds pass through without adding a video ground loop at the panel.

RDL Introduces D-SH1M Decora® Stereo Headphone Amplifier with 1/8" Mini Plug

RDL Decora Wall Panels

The D-SH1M and DS-SH1M are used in applications requiring headphones of any impedance to be driven from consumer or professional audio sources. It is ideally suited to applications as diverse as language translation, museums, interview studios and music stores.

The D-SH1M is a dual channel headphone amplifier with balanced/unbalanced left and right inputs. Each input accepts operating levels between
-20 dBV and +20 dBu. Two recessed slide switches located on the side of the rear enclosure are set prior to mounting the module. One switch is provided for setting the input sensitivity. The mode switch selects between stereo and mono operation. In the mono position, the left input is used to drive both output channels. When the module is used in a monaural system, only the left channel input must be wired.

The front panel level control is a long life potentiometer controlling matched VCAs. Audio does not pass through this control, assuring years of noise free level adjustment. The output amplifiers deliver more than 50 mW into either high or low impedance headphones. Module operation is from a 24 Vdc ground referenced power supply.
